Our Experience & History
The Wood Floor Guys Inc. is a new company with old roots. Our CEO Todd Hiester has been in the hardwood flooring business for over 20 years, running his own company, Todd’s Hardwood Flooring with his father Tim and his son Tyler. Over the years, our business began to grow into something bigger than one sole proprietor. So, in 2020 we decided to launch a new business focused on helping more people in Fresno and surrounding areas to get the hardwood floors of their dreams, while also giving our employees a better structure in which to thrive.
We chose our name, The Wood Floor Guys, to reflect our nature as skilled craftsmen dedicated to what we do best. Every member of our team has years of experience in the trade, with truly advanced expertise in both installing brand new hardwood flooring and restoring old flooring to its former beauty. Unlike other flooring companies, we don’t spread our focus to other areas like carpet or tile. There are no uninformed salespeople trying to sell you a poorly made product or unskilled labor. Instead, every member of our team is an expert in HARDWOOD FLOORING.

We specialize in a full range of hardwood flooring and related services including sales, demolition, installation, finishing & refinishing, repairs, and stair tread/riser installation. We have also done countless hours of study and experimentation with new finishing techniques and unconventional coating systems, meaning that if the specific look that you are hoping for isn’t achievable through the use of traditional stain and polyurethane, we can achieve it with other methods. Some of our coolest hardwood floors have only been possible using reactive staining techniques or our environmentally friendly Hard-Wax Oil hardwood refinishing products.
When you call The Wood Floor Guys, you’ll speak with an informed salesperson who knows what they’re talking about and has on-site experience. When you schedule a free estimate with us, that same person will visit your home, take notes and measurements, and discuss your project with you. From there, it’s just a matter of choosing the hardwood floor best suited to your tastes and home, approving an estimate, signing a contract, and completing your project!
